Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This policy is for people who use the Mazalot app. It explains the consumer health data, as the Washington My Health My Data Act and similar laws in Nevada and Connecticut define it, that Mazalot Inc. collects, why, where it comes from, who receives it, and how to use your rights. Mazalot is an AI astrology companion for reflection and entertainment; it does not provide health care.
1. The consumer health data we collect, and how we use it
- What you say on calls about your physical or mental health or about how you feel, kept in the written transcript of each call and, for 30 days, in the call recording our voice provider keeps.
- Moods, emotional themes and other impressions that AI notes from your calls, kept in your conversation notes.
- A crisis flag on the notes of a call that showed signs you might harm yourself, and one product event recording that flag, which is linked to your account until the account is deleted.
- Readings, cards and meditations written from those notes, to the extent they reflect any of the above.
We use it only:
- to have the conversations, and make the readings, cards and meditations, that you ask for: the companion replies to what you say, and the notes shape your later conversations and readings;
- to respond safely when a call suggests you may be in crisis, as our published crisis protocol describes;
- for support, safety and quality review by a small number of named Mazalot staff; every time one of them opens a transcript or listens to a call recording, it is logged;
- when we switch it on, for a weekly analysis of a sample of transcripts from which names and contact details are removed first, and from which we keep only themes and counts.
We never use it for advertising, and we never sell it.
2. Where it comes from
- From you, in what you say on calls.
- From AI processing of your transcripts, done for us by our service providers.
3. Who receives it
We do not share consumer health data with any other company or person for their own use. If you link with another Mazalot user, none of your transcripts, notes, moods or crisis flags goes to them. The only thing drawn from your calls that their astrologer may use is the single relationship-need label described in section 8.4 of our Privacy Policy; we do not treat that label as health data, and nothing from a call that showed signs of crisis is used for it.
These categories of service providers process it for us, only to run the App:
- AI model providers: Anthropic, and OpenAI when the App's search of your notes is switched on;
- our voice provider: ElevenLabs, with LiveKit as the audio connection; the sound of your call goes to ElevenLabs as you speak; ElevenLabs records it and keeps the recording for 30 days, then deletes it, and keeps the written transcript until we ask it to delete it;
- our database and hosting providers: Supabase and Vercel;
- our audio mixing service: Railway, for meditation and wake-up audio;
- push notification services: Expo, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service, for the text of notifications you turned on, which can include a line from your daily reading.
No affiliate company of Mazalot receives it.
4. Your rights, and how to use them
- Confirm and see it. You can ask whether we collect or share consumer health data about you, and get a copy of it, together with a list of every company that has received it and an email address or online way to contact each one.
- Withdraw your consent. In Settings you can withdraw the agreement you gave on the permission screen. The App then stops making readings, calls, meditations and wake-up readings for you, so nothing new is collected until you agree again.
- Delete it. Delete your account in the App, follow the steps at mazalot.ai/delete-account, or email us. Because the App cannot separate this data from the rest of your conversations, we carry out a deletion request by deleting your account and its data. When we do, we ask ElevenLabs to delete each of your conversations, including any call recording still kept.
To use a right, email compliance@mazalot.ai with the phone number on your account and the right you are using. We verify the request by sending a one-time code by text message to that number. Answers are free, up to twice a year. We respond within 45 days of receiving your request; if we need more time we tell you why within those 45 days and may take up to 45 more. If we decline, you can appeal by replying with the word "appeal" and your reasons, and we answer the appeal in writing within 45 days. If you disagree with our answer to your appeal, you can complain to the attorney general of your state.
